The religious shrines and the marvellous monuments have carved a niche for the temple triangle of Puri, Bhubaneshwar and Konark. Here is an itinerary for you to tour and enjoy the ‘Golden Triangle of the East’, a feast on the cultural heritage of India.
Day 01 – Arrive Bhubaneshwar Arrive Bhubaneshwar. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon city tour of Bhubaneshwar, covering Parashrames-wara Temple, the state’s oldest surviving temple which was built in 650 A.D., Dhauli, a complex which has Emperor Ashoka’s rock edicts and dates back to the 03 rd century B.C. and Lingraj Temple, built in the 11 th century A.D., is a fine exponent of the architecture of this region. Day 02 - Bhubaneshwar Full day excursion to the Buddhist triangle of Udaigiri, Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri. Overnight stay.
Day 03 - Bhubaneshwar / Puri
Today we will drive to the religious Indian town of Puri. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon is free to relax by the pool or at the beach. Overnight stay.
Day 04 - Puri Morning visit to the famous temple of Lord Jaganath Puri. Viewing is only permitted from the library platform as non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple. Then a visit to Loknath Temple. Overnight stay.
Day 05 – Puri
Full day to relax by the pool or at the beach.
Day 06 - Puri / Konark / Bhubaneshwar This morning depart by road to Bhubaneshwar. En-route you will see the famous Sun Temple at Konark - known as the crowning glory of Orissan temple art. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 07 - Departure
Transfer to the airport for your onward destination.
