Explore the ruins of Hampi, once the capital of the flourishing Vijaynagar Empire, include such gems as the Vittala Temple, a World Heritage Monument. The Chalukyan capital of Badami and its neighbouring villages are spread with a plethora of exceptional temples while the town of Bijapur boasts the Gol Gumbaz, the second largest dome in the world. Also included is the historical city of Hyderabad, with its charming bazaars and the famous museum of Salar Jung, as well as the world famous Hoysala temples at Belur, Halebid and Somnathpur.

Day 01: Hyderabad
Arrive Hyderabad. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon city sightseeing tour, visiting the Charminar, Lad Bazaar and the Salar Jung Museum. Overnight stay.

Day 02: Hyderabad
Visit the remarkable Golconda Fort in the morning. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 03: To Hassan
Take a morning flight to Bangalore and drive on to Hassan. Upon arrival check into your hotel. In the afternoon visit the intricately carved Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebid. Overnight stay.

Day 04: Mysore
In the morning drive to Mysore, en route visiting the imposing statue of Gomateshvara at Shravanabelagola and Tipu’s Summer Palace at Srirangapattanam. Upon arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 05: Mysore
Visit the sights of Mysore today including the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill and Nandi Bull. Overnight stay

Day 06: To Hospet (Hampi)
Enjoy a morning excursion to another Hoysala temple, at Somnathpur. Early evening drive back to Bangalore railway station to board train to Hampi. Overnight in train.

Day 07: Hampi
Arrive in the morning and transfer to the Malligi Tourist Home for 2 nights. Enjoy a half-day sightseeing of Hampi.

Day 08: Hampi
At leisure see the sights of Hampi on your own. Overnight stay.

Day 09: Bijapur
Drive through a range of red, rocky hills to Bijapur and check into your hotel. Afternoon city tour includes the Gol Gumbaz, the magnificent tomb of Mohammed Adil Shah.

Day 10: Badami
Morning drive to Badami and check into the Badami Court for 2 nights. Set amidst red sandstone hills and rock-hewn tanks, the beautiful villages of Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal were once the capital cities of the Chalukyan Empire. Visit Badami in the afternoon including cave temples from the 6th & 7th century AD and the famous Malegitti Shivalaya temple.

Day 11: Badami
Visit Aihole, including the Lad Khan temple, dating back to 450 AD, where the earliest form of temple design can be seen & Pattadakal which has temples of the northern Nagara & southern Dravida schools. Overnight stay.

Day 12: to Mumbai
Early morning drive to Belgaum airport (180 kms 4 hrs) to board flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival transfer to airport for onward destination.

* The hotels in the remote areas are basic with ensuite facilites, but the experience is rewarding.
