Morning excursion to Amber Fort slowly meandering up the steep ascent perched atop an elephant. Time to relax in the afternoon with time to visit the colourful bazaars.
Day 05: To Agra
Morning drive to Agra, en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital city of the great Moghul Emperor Akbar. Check in at your hotel. Day 06: Agra
Unforgettable sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, the white marble blushing as the first rays of sunlight embrace this monument of love. After breakfast, a tour of Agra Fort, built by successive Moghul Emperors, the Itmad-ud-Daulah. Overnight stay.

Day 10: To Varanasi by flight
Morning transfer to airport to board the flight for Varanasi. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.Varanasi is
believed to be India’s most sacred city situated on the western bank of the holy river Ganga. It is also the oldest living city in the world. Varanasi is a city which cannot be described, only experienced.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Varanasi, covering the Temples, Aurangazeb’s Mosque and one of the biggest universities in India. This evening, view a traditional “Aarti” ceremony on the Ghats. Overnight stay.
Day 11: To Mumbai by flight
Early morning boat ride on the Holy river Ganges to view the religious activity at the bathing Ghats for an insight into the cultural background of India. Later an excursion to Sarnath, 10kms. East of Varanasi, Sarnath is one of the major centres for Buddhism in India. Afternoon transfer to the airport in time to connect flight for Mumbai. Day 13: To Cochin by flight

Day 14: To Alleppey
Morning depart by road to Alleppey (65 Kms/1 hr 30 min). Embark on your houseboat for a remarkable journey through the coconut-palmed canals. Your houseboat crew will take care of your every need, cook you delicious Kerala food and show you all the places of interest. Overnight in the houseboat.
Day 15: To Periyar
Disembark and depart by road to Periyar (130 Km 4 hrs). Periyar Forest is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India. Evening boat ride on Lake Periyar. Overnight stay.
Day 16: To Madurai Morning depart by road to Madurai (137 kms/4.5 hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel. Late afternoon visit the Famous Meenakshi Temple. The most interesting feature of the temple is its ‘Hall of a Thousand Pillars’. Overnight stay.
Day 17: To Trichy
Morning depart by road to Trichy (140 Kms/4hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon city tour of Trichy visiting the Rock fort and the great temple of Srirangam, an island on the Cauvery. This is a massive temple with a 100 pillar hall highly decorated with carvings. Overnight stay.
Day 18: To Tanjore
Morning depart by road to Tanjore (54 kms/2 hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Tanjore. Tanjore is also called a city of temples, dotted with no fewer than 74 temples - the most famous of which is the Brihadeshwara temple. Visit this fascinating temple and the Thanjavur Palace. Day 19: To Pondicherry
Morning depart by road to Pondicherry (177 kms/ 4 hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pondicherry visting the ashram at Auroville, Matrimandir and Sri Aurbindo Ashram. Overnight stay.
Day 20: To Mahabalipuram
Morning depart by road to Mahabalipuram (100 kms/3 hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel. Mahabalipuram is a small, quiet seaside resort with a unique 7th century Shore Temple, a lovely beach and some of the most beautiful rock cut temples in the world. Afternoon visit to the shore temples by the sea. One of the earliest temples to be constructed in this area, the “Five Rathas”, a group of monolithic monuments and animal figures carved out of solid rock, are almost like an artist’s experiment in variety of form. This afternoon you can relax on the beach. Overnight stay.
Day 21: Mahabalipuram Morning excursion to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram, known as the Golden City of a Thousand Temples, is one of the oldest towns in India. It is famous for its temples, many of them remarkably well preserved and for its hand-woven silks. Visit Ekambareshwar Temple, Kailashnath Temple, Kamakshi Temple, the Vaikuntha-perumal Temple, all built in the 7th and 8th centuries. With a weaving tradition dating back to the Pallava era (when silk was the royal cloth), Kanchipuram is justly famous for its particularly fine silk saris, embellished with stunning patterns.
